Horizon in the Antarctic under a bright blue sky with a sledge track.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

This expedition is a unique project on the white continent. Antarctica is known for its cold, fierce storms, and isolation. And yet, it is precisely there, in the heart of the eternal ice desert, that one experiences untouched beauty, purity, and the infinite grace of the Divine Presence.

The contrasts of Antarctica have always evoked conflicting feelings in renowned polar explorers and discoverers:

„Heaven and hell at once.“

– Reinhold Messner –

„When the sun moved towards its three o’clock position, the snow glistened like diamonds.  I felt a surge of joy looking out across these infinite, white plains.“

„… but otherwise everything was white, pure white.  I was so sick of that colour! „

– Børge Ousland –

„My first day on the ice, I awoke to the thrilling contradictions of Antarctica: Simultaneously, my world seemed to have shrunk to the size of my sled, and yet expanded to the edges of the horizon.“

– Ann Bancroft –

Despite these contradictions – or perhaps because of them – the white immensity exerts a lasting fascination on all those who have encountered it.

Exploring Antarctica presents every expedition with immense challenges to human resilience, endurance, and mental strength. At the same time, it offers the ideal setting to explore human potential and push boundaries. Having the opportunity to set foot on new land and travelling unknown terrain – by fair means – is our absolute priority.
