Wade Fairley is a cinematographer and photographer specialising in adventure and natural history subjects. Wade has made three trips to Antarctica, two sailing trips to Commonwealth Bay, and a kayak trip around the Antarctic Peninsula.  Last Antarctic summer Wade spent 6 weeks kayaking around the island of South Georgia.

During October - November 2000, Eric Philips (expedition leader), Wade Fairley and Gary Kuehn completed a 25-day 210km ski/kite/kayak traverse of the South Patagonian ice cap from the Jorge Montt Glacier in Chile to Lago Argentino, Argentina. They used kayaks as sleds then paddled lakes and rivers into Argentina. It was the first Australian traverse of the ice cap.

Wade was recently producer/cameraman for a major ABC expedition in the Antarctic, filming the life of Australian explorer Douglas Mawson.
